We share new stories and POVs that you’ve never heard before, with a focus on doing social good within the video game industry.
Shelby Moledina founded Glowy Pixels Entertainment in Portland, Oregon in 2024 to leverage her 20+ years of game development experience to shine a light on POVs you’ve never heard before from the game industry.
Shelby’s main projects (the award-winning “Resting Pitch Face” (2024), and an unannounced documentary) have a strong bent toward doing social good within the game industry.
“Resting Pitch Face” has become a rallying point - sparking discussion and change. (Including the January 2025 #TwoPercent online flashmob started by Shelby Moledina and Gina Joseph, of over 500 leaders sharing their stories and linking up to work on the issue from all angles.)
It has been recognized within both the games industry and with film awards as an important and unique piece.
Shelby is currently filming the companion to “Resting Pitch Face” — a set of documentary interviews with real femme-founders who have run the fundraising gauntlet in games — and paid for it in blood, sweat, and tears.
Find out more about upcoming expansions to “RESTING PITCH FACE” HERE.
“Resting Pitch Face” isn’t currently publicly available, but a private screening link is available on request!
Additionally, Shelby remains active in the Portland indie film community, helping with 1-2 day small indie films to keep creativity flowing.
Please get in touch if you’d like to work together!
Film Projects
LESS THAN 2% OF VC FUNDING IN THE US GOES TO WOMEN FOUNDERS EACH YEAR, even though teams with women founders outperformed their all-male counterparts by 35%. Resting Pitch Face, 2024 (aka "RPF") is an award-winning dark comedy short film about the absurd challenges women face in fundraising in games. RPF has sparked ongoing discussion and working toward change around the huge gender gap in funding. RPF has been screened to standing-room-only game industry audiences, and was named "Best of" & won the "Film de Femme" award at the Portland 48 Hour Film Project, 2024, for elevating silenced womens' voices.

Rushing Into Things, 2024 (aka "RIT") - is an award-winning warm, but also sharp, romantic comedy, written as a pointed love letter to Portland, Oregon. It was co-written and directed by Shelby Moledina and Nathan Franklin. Awards: Portland Comedy Film Festival [WINNER: Best Romantic Comedy], [Official Selection], No Worries Northwest Film Festival [Official Selection]
